Queen of Pop

When I did this painting, circa 2000, Britney Spears really was the Queen. Every guy I knew had a poster of her in their dorm room or apartment. I guess I was a little jealous. This was for a school assignment. My overall idea was that people in America worshipped celebrities and focused too much on shallow things. Ironically, I actually really like Britney Spears now. She’s very talented.
