Stoicisim is an ancient Greek school of philosophy founded in Athens by Zeno of Citium. The school teaches that virtue, the highest good, is based on knowledge, and that the wise live in harmony with Providence, and are indifferent to the vicissitudes of fortune, and to pleasure and pain. I am a fan of Stoicism, and a great admirer of Plato, Socrates, Epictetus, Seneca, and Marcus Aurelius. By now, I imagine most of you have stopped reading. Clearly, Stoic T-shirts are a niche market.
